Water softening systems

Glogar water softeners including a separate brine tank or cabinet tank are equipped with a central control valve. The pressure tanks are of the highest quality, made of corrosion-resistant GRP with PE inliner incl. cation exchanger.

The resin in the pressure tank of the water softener is enriched with sodium ions. When water flows through the resin, the calcium ions and magnesium-lime ions are bound to the synthetic resin. This in turn releases sodium ions. After some time, the resin can no longer bind calcium and magnesium.

To make the resin absorbent again, it must be cleaned of the hardness formers that have been absorbed. The resin is regenerated and recharged with sodium ions using a salt brine via the fully automatic central control valve of the softening system. The brine with the absorbed hardness formers flows into the drain.
