TA 258

Liquid, highly alkaline immersion and spray degreaser for degreasing and dephosphating

Properties:

TA 258 is a silicate-free, highly concentrated, alkaline product for cleaning ferrous materials and stainless steel.
Can be used in both dipping and spraying processes.
As a rule, the cleaning performance of TA 258 is further enhanced by the addition of special wetting agents.

Application:

TA 258 is mainly used at a concentration of 2% to 3% in combination with appropriate wetting agents. The wetting agent concentration is usually 0.2 to 0.4%.

The cleaning temperature should be at least 50°C in the spraying process, otherwise heavy foam development is to be expected. The temperature of 65°C should not be exceeded when using the immersion method.

The cleaning time depends on the type and degree of soiling and is usually between 4 and 8 minutes.
