Cleaning as a key process before
PVD-CVD-DLC coating

Absolute purity

the basis for high-quality PVD/CVD/DLC coatings

When PVD, PACAD and DLC coating components, absolute cleanliness and an optimally wettable surface are the basic prerequisites for a high-quality coating. Precise pre-cleaning is the only way to achieve perfect results. Contamination such as grinding residues, oil, polishing pastes or dust impair the adhesion of the coating and can severely impair the function of the coated parts.

PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a high-vacuum process in which extremely thin, high-strength hard material coatings or metallic coatings are applied to components. The aim is to significantly improve the functionality of a workpiece - wear resistance, friction reduction, corrosion resistance and optical properties - without changing the dimensional accuracy.

PVD is used wherever maximum performance, precision and durability are required - from industrial components to decorative surfaces.

Process reliability through innovative cleaning technology

Our aqueous-based ultra-fine cleaning systems guarantee maximum process stability and therefore first-class product quality. Thanks to the combination of different processes within one system, even complex requirements can be reliably met. Field-proven concepts and numerous installations at well-known contract coaters and end users are proof of the quality and reliability of our systems.

Two different concepts are used depending on the required throughput and requirements - for example, for the additional removal of adhesive and film residues:

Single-chamber cleaning systems

These are equipped with four tanks as standard (2× cleaning, 2× rinsing) as well as hot air and vacuum drying. The advantage: space-saving installation combined with maximum flexibility. For each process step, you can choose between all common methods - spray cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning under vacuum, pressure cycling or injection flood cleaning.

Multi-chamber ultrasonic cleaning systems

They guarantee an extremely high throughput and are ideal for decorative coating in particular, as material differences - for example between plastic and metal - can be optimally taken into account.

In addition to the selection of a suitable cleaning system, the water quality and a precisely coordinated cleaning chemistry are also decisive success factors for cleaning that is suitable for coating.
