Opening and anniversary celebrations: 100 years of Glogar, 20 years of environmental technology and a new company building
On Thursday, October 10, 2019, the team around the Vatier family celebrated two anniversaries: 100 years of Glogar and 20 years of Glogar Umwelttechnik. The anniversary celebration with around 160 guests was also the official opening of the new company building in St. Florian.
A white ribbon was symbolically cut together with the guests of honor. Johannes Holzinger, provost of the Augustinian canon monastery of St. Florian, gave his blessing. Presenter Silvia Schneider charmingly hosted the evening, which offered not only culinary delights but also many artistic delights.
"I am delighted that so many customers, partners and friends joined us in celebrating this important milestone for Glogar. We look back with pride and gratitude, but above all we look forward with great confidence and joy to continue on our company's successful path," summarizes Glogar Managing Director and owner Werner Vatier.
Cabaret artist Günter Lainer and light show
What began 100 years ago with the sale of bicycles and baby carriages by Werner Vater's grandfather led to cars and industrial supplies and finally to industrial parts cleaning: the company's history was impressively presented to the guests in the form of light effects. Cabaret artist Günter Lainer, who took a look at the "Glogar special washing machines" - as he describes the cleaning systems in simple terms - made the guests laugh a lot.
Badge of honor for Werner Vatier
Werner Vatier was surprised twice that evening. He received a gold jubilee medal from the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce - presented by the Vice President of the WKO, Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, and the Vice President of the WKOÖ, Leo Jindrak.
The "Glogarianer Sängerknaben", an ensemble of construction partners under the direction of master builder Harald Hürner, provided a surprise musical act. The eight-month construction phase and the 45 construction meetings were sung about in dances, which not only made the builder Werner Vatier smile, but also the guests.
Numerous guests
Among the 160 guests were business partners, employees, customers and suppliers as well as numerous guests of honor from politics and business: Vice President of the WKO Ulrike Rabmer-Koller, WKOÖ Vice President Leo Jindrak, District Head of the WKO Linz-Land Andrea Danda-Bäck, Wirtschaftsbund Director Wolfgang Greil MBA, Mayor of the market town of St. Florian Robert Zeitlinger, Provost Johann Holzinger from the Augustinian Canons of St. Florian and Makus Raml from Raml und Partner Steuerberatungs GmbH. The Hungarian Consul Dipl.-Ing. Katharina Pedak-Vattay and Consul of the Kingdom of Spain Dipl.-Ing. Heinz Pedak also came to see the company for themselves and to congratulate them on their anniversary.
