In the last few days of December 2021, we were able to install a spray-flood cleaning system for tool and mold cleaning at the Austrian site of a global technology leader in the field of advanced system integration for safety systems and autonomous driving. More than 180,000 people are employed at 124 production sites worldwide and due to more than 15 years of cooperation, Glogar Umwelttechnik was again selected as partner/supplier for the new cleaning system to be invested in.
The 2-tank single-chamber cleaning system type RHV 600 offers the ideal prerequisite for reliable cleaning of molds with complex geometries.
Both the cleaning and rinsing/passivation processes allow the spray and flood cleaning process technologies to be combined individually, thus achieving optimum cleaning results.
The system is equipped with ultrasonic rod transducers so that rust can also be removed in addition to stubborn coking. The ultrasonic cleaning process is carried out as "vacuum-assisted cleaning", which means that extremely short process times can be achieved. The system's working chamber is also equipped with fast-flood nozzles and an electropolished working chamber.
Combined hot air and vacuum drying as well as multi-stage medium preparation round off the performance of the Glogar RHV 600 is completed. The complete process (cleaning + rinsing and drying) is completed after approx. 25 minutes and the parts can be removed from the cleaning system. An automatic loading and unloading roller conveyor can be retrofitted at a later date and can be easily installed in just a few hours.
The cleaner used is a neutral cleaner (pH 9.5) with temporary corrosion protection at a concentration of 3%. The chemicals are also supplied by Glogar.
